ST&CI Goal

The goal of ST&CI is to offer meaningful support and assistance to adults with intellectual disabilities as they work towards achieving their personal and employment goals.

Service Description

Skills Training & Community Inclusion operates within the Association's mandate and offers training and employment opportunities to adults with intellectual disablities. Community inclusion within Yellowknife is a top priority for ST&CI. All employment, social and recreation activities are inclusive in nature.

Objectives

Inclusion of adults with intellectual disabilities in the community
opportunities for specific community based positions in the workforce
employment skill development, life skill development and literacy skills development through one-to-one and small group instruction
transitioning of students with intellectual disabilities from the education system to training or post secondary education
